Mid-week uncluttering

How is your uncluttering going at this, the mid-point of the week?

I lost the day to reconciling book reviews across three platforms, and cycling through open and closing All! The! Tabs!. I'm not finished, but at least I'm closer...

I cleaned up my flist a bit and finally moved my power cords for my computers so they aren't as visible. Will start taking apart those doomed knitting projects soon.

I got rid of a couple of things that had some low-grade emotional associations. I knew they had to go, but it was easier to get rid of other things first. :-) But now they are GONE and I'm giving myself a pat on the back for that.

Sometimes this stuff is ridiculously hard....

Thank you! Bye the time I got round to dealing with them, they didn't have a lot of power left, so hugs aren't strictly necessary -- but I really appreciate the thought.

I have the bookcases all moved and out of the way, and have started disassembling the Very Large Desk to discard it. Someone has claimed the metal legs, since it's overall not in good enough shape to donate, so at least some of it will get some reuse. Looking at it without things on it (since it was just a storage heap), it's really at least three times more desk than I could ever use in that spot.

There is still a pile of things near the doorway to the bookroom, but that can be rearranged into the desk's space once it's gone and still have plenty of access space to the window for its replacement. \o/

The bedroom isn't a concern, since I'll just have to move a rocking chair and side table to have space, and I'm not going to start shuffling the living room any sooner than this weekend.

Aside from the desk, nothing going out, but I know I'll get a chance to do some deep sorting once the windows are done and I can unpack/rearrange.

Well done! It sounds like quite the project you have, just getting the desk out of the house.

Thank you! I've gotten as much done with the desk as I can til my boyfriend comes over tomorrow. It needs to be flipped to get the legs off and it still easily weighs close to 100lbs.

Well done on getting everything out of the way for the new windows, and good luck on unpacking again and thinking about what goes where (and what doesn't need to be kept) once the windows are done.
