Weekly (ish) check in

How goes the decluttering? Have you managed to rehome anything? Find a stash of things that were no better than rubbish, and bin them? Clear out a stash and now have an empty space? Anything, small or large, physical or virtual, counts as a win!

I have done a good bit of dusting and putting things away. I've started a basket of things for whenever I can get a table at a nerd-stuff sale (or possibly go on ebay).

I did a quick look through my clothes and found 2 damaged/stained items for textile recycling, and 4 other items to donate. The "to donate" bag is getting full so I need to find a time to get it out of the house.

Today came with a bunch of unplanned side quests to organize and declutter. So it went well! Ekko and I went through a bit of a box of miscellaneous goods, found a bit of trash, sorted things that had been misplaced/forgotten, and set the stack of donation-books out to be put into a Little Free Library (hopefully sometime this week).

I purchased Ridwell’s ultimate plan so we can put plastic film, multi-layered plastic, styrofoam, worn out shoes, textiles, and clothing, batteries, light bulbs, and extra bags.

I seem to be hemming and hawing about recycling a daybook from the National Women’s Health Information Center with a 2005 calendar that I reused for 2024. The information is still useful, but I believe it’s similar to other health guides we already have.

For the moment, I’m keeping it mainly because the stickers help remind me regarding appointments and other important times and dates.
