midweek checkin

It's been a slow few weeks around here!  In the event that I had the energy to declutter, there's still not much that I can do.  Places are still closed, I can't donate right now, I don't feel comfortable going to the post office to ship things, etc.

I did read a book in the "read then donate" pile, and added it to the donation box.  I had hoped to like it enough to keep.  oh well.  I added a few more toys and a shirt to the box.  It may be full enough to justify donating whenever the stores open up again.

I did sell two things online and shipped those (prepaid shipping) in materials I had around the house.  I'm waiting for payment for two more things then will ship one and drop the other off.  I hope to drop a toy off for a friend as well.

Most importantly, I've gone back to two knitting projects, two hats, to rip them back just a bit, then add more length to make them more slouchy as first intended.  Now both hats are more comfortable and stylish, and the scrap yarn can be be added to my scrap yarn blanket project.

None of this felt like much progress but typing it up helps.  Slow progress is still progress.  We can still tidy up our homes and clean out a bit without donating things or giving things to others.  Finish up a project or fix a project.  Bake something with things in the pantry.  Use up that weird sauce in the fridge, or throw it out.  Take care of the mending pile.  Clean out a drawer, a closet, the garage.

I recycled some magazines and finally got rid of a tattered fitted bedsheet.

Thanks for posting this and sharing the inspiration of what you're still managing to get done -- sounds like you've managed some nice small wins.

I've sorted out and shredded some paperwork, made some progress in the garden and eaten up a couple of things that were lingering a little in the back of the pantry. :-) Not much actually out of the house, but it's being prepped for leaving when that's possible again.

Your last paragraph here is really helpful, thank you.
