Weekend uncluttering

How goes the uncluttering this weekend?

I've been a bit out of sorts, and haven't done much more than move things around as if that will miraculously cause the house to be less cluttered. I did manage to frog one more abandoned piece of knitting though!

I've been running a fever all weekend, so I haven't done much aside from have a fever.

I did manage to sort through a chunk of filing/to-file and half the stuff I didn't get filed is now old enough that there's no point in filing it and it can just be shredded.

So several inches of paperwork is dealt with in one way or other.

Are we counting frogging projects? because I ripped one hat out to use the yarn in another hat immediately. The new hat is a more useful size.

I've got some shoes to give to a friend.

I was going to consolidate a bunch of stuff into a storage box, but my shopping delivery which includes a new storage box is delayed until tomorrow! So I didn’t do it.

A big bag of garden waste (from pruning and weeding) is gone, and a trash bag of stuff got taken away by the bin men.

On Monday, I took a car load of boxes and bags (a mix of clothes, books and DVDs for the most part and a few miscellania) to the charity shop.

Yesterday, I gave a bag of unwanted bedding to someone who thinks they'll be able to use it (it's a mix of things that are too old for normal use and can be used as dustsheets and ones that I find uncomfortable to sleep under that they think they might be able to use). I also put a bin bag of rubbish in the bin and took some stuff to the recycling centre (drawer from old fridge, hose from old tumble dryer, some polystyrene packaging and a broken mop - that kind of thing).

I've made an arrangement to deliver about six boxes of books to a school in about a week and a half so have been spending a fair amount of time over the weekend finding more books to add to the boxes (or fill another) before I deliver them - I've added 8 so far and piled about another 8 that I need to make a decision on before the delivery date.
