weekend uncluttering

Have you found something to declutter today? If not, do you have time to do something small? Somewhere a bit cluttered you've been meaning to look at for a while?

I've been sorting books. I've amalgamated a couple of piles of 'to go' books, and just have to get the motivation to get them out of the house.

I moved out two books, and one big notebook binder with instructuions and details about state retirement rules and things to consider. This notebook was dated 2011; I retired in 2012, and kept the thing in case I needed to refer to rules and practices in play at the time. It's now gone. If I have problems with my retirement funds it will involve possible efforts to change the state constitution, and old practices will not matter. It took me long enough to get to that point. I still have some old paperwork from my job that could probably be tossed, but at least I gained a notebook space.

We're planning to take the expired Miracle Gro-s and other lawn chemicals to the recycling center Tuesday, so we took them off the work bench and boxed them. Also bagged the branches from a bush of ours.

Belatedly reporting more garden rubbish and shredding off the premises. Also some china planters for household plants that I handed off to my sister so she can see if my niece wants them. (If she doesn't, they'll come back, and may then be donated -- not sure yet.)
