Weekend uncluttering

How goes your decluttering?

I did a focused few hours sorting out the games room. There is now nothing on the floor in there that isn't books, furniture, or drum kit. There is still mess on the lego table, but other than that, I can get to all the shelves. I've also done a bit of a sort of the shelves, and found a couple more books to go (and worked out that two specific shelves the books are in the wrong place, which is why I haven't been able to find them.

Which means that next weekend, I can actually spend some time getting things one shelves, and updating the catalogue. Which won't quite be in my 'done by the end of May' goal, but I'm happy with the progress.

.... I started a new knitting project that uses yarn that's been in my stash for years..?

Oh, I cleaned up and cleaned out all the paperwork from a child'd school this week! It's all been put away for easy access when needed or recycled. that mess took over a chair for the better part of 3 days.

Nice work on clearing things up enough to be able to get at all the shelves! Good luck on tackling the books next weekend.

I got rid of a bag full of garden waste, did some tidying up/putting away of gardening things in the garage, and made a start on the big pile of paper to be shredded.

Not exactly clutter, but I also took a load of plants I'd been growing for my sister over to her place (geraniums from cuttings and runner beans from seed) which has freed up quite a bit of room. :-)

Bro & I spent a solid 6 hours at Pa's house. Several boxes of assorted junk to the tip, several more boxes to the charity shop (they weren't taking donations *again* today, so Bro has packed them in the car for Tuesday). We're making slow progress, but it's actually visible now.

Unfortunately, I bought several boxes and a bookcase back with me, but they will get sorted and chucked/used as appropriate.

Well done to you and Bro on all your hard work -- and great that you're now seeing visible progress!

I hope the charity shop takes the items on Tuesday and that you're able to quickly and easily deal with the stuff you brought home.
