Weekend uncluttering

How goes the uncluttering this weekend? If you haven't found anything to rehome yet, do you have the time and energy now? Or are you giving yourself a rest day?

I've found a single item today -- a lip balm that had been put at the back of the wrong drawer, and gone horrid. Rather than scrape at it and try and recover it, I binned it, because it smelled funny.

I'm giving myself some rest days. I'll start again on Thursday, I hope.

Good about the lip balm. Best to discover it now than later.

I put two books that were in bad condition in the recycling, and discarded some expired sunscreen and worn-out hair bands.

Good on you for binning the lip balm!

I am resting; I started taxes yesterday and struggled through them; the new format is annoying, and I had to do some capital gains stuff I have never don before; the joys of Required Minimum Distribution. I shall work on my paper-heavy desk tomorrow, and work on state taxes on Wednesday. the worst thing there is figuring the Use taxes.

Tossing junky pits of cosmetics is always good.

I bought some small shoe box sized containers at the dollar store yesterday and put all of my daughter's little toys in them, then put the containers under her bed. The living room already looks so much better, even though her stuffed animals and bigger toys are still there. I'm hoping that the hanging plush storage will hold most of her stuffed animals that don't fit in the two beanbag-like storage bags that are already full.

I also got a few more things ready to donate like clothes, some cloth diapers we never liked (they were given to us second-hand), a few more toys, etc. And I've been cutting up the worn out clothes I kept to upcycle the fabric from, so they will fit better in my storage containers.
