weekend uncluttering

What have you excavated from the hidden places of your house this weekend?

I've been clearing out shelves, and I have found so many empty CD cases that I'm never going to use, so I've put them in the front hall to rehome. I've also pulled out a couple of boxes of fabric that I think that I can just ditch, but I've got to at least look through them before I do so. And I threw out a pile of bus time timetables, because we never use them and they just go out of date.

Plus, a friend came past and collected all the crochet squares that I've been working on over the last few months, so I have a whole empty shelf!

Now I have to make an effort to get rid of everything out of the front hall :)

Not much. I put a broken yard toy at the curb, so either someone will grab it or it will go with the garbage tomorrow. Added a few more things to the donation bag that will be dropped off tomorrow--that particular second hand store is not on my way to anything and I've got time for the special trip.

Check with your local library, they may want those CD cases!

Oh, I hadn't thought of the library, thank you for the suggestion. I suspect that many of them are not in sufficiently good knick for that, but any reminder to go and spend time talking to the nice librarian is a good one.

I'm assuming the yard toy you mention is the one that you mentioned in a later post was picked up by someone? Useful that that works for some things!

I caught up on recycling post-holidays. Three large bags of paper and plastic went to the recycling center. I'm forever amazed by how much paper and plastic I use, and I'm so glad I have a safe place to take it!
