Weekend uncluttering

What clutter have you found to set free this weekend?

Youngest and I are travelling, because 'tis the time of year of National Competitions. We've decided not to take home two of the books we brought with us, and I'm thinking about leaving one of the shirts behind as well. All of these came from op-shops, so will be no great loss. Youngest is the one who was reading book 1 of the series, and their review is "First there was a gay joke, then a fat joke, a nerd joke, and a suicide joke". As a result, I'm seriously thinking of just binning the books, rather than releasing them on the world.

As a note for next week -- we will be flying on Wednesday, so yet again it is unlikely that I will be able to post (although if we get airport wi-fi, that might change!)

It's been a process to convince myself that it's okay to toss 'bad' books in the recycling bin instead of donating them back to wherever.

Good luck with Nationals~

I have actually come to the conclusion that for bad books, I'm doing the world and reading public a service if I don't release them into the wild for someone else to suffer through.

That's a very good way of looking at it.

Sold two small bags of toys locally, sold some knitted thing to a friend and will have to ship--yay getting rid of a padded envelope! Spouse and I took care of the scanning and shredding yesterday, Spouse also sorted the paperwork we need to keep.

I listed a bunch of things I've made for sale, hoping my friends would buy them to give as gifts or keep as their own. Not much movement, but anything gone is better than nothing. I may just donate a few things.

I mailed 11 books on Saturday and got rid of five books last week (I count them as out of my collection when I list them on swap sites and put them in a giant container full of my swap inventory). I also used up some yarn and crochet cotton while making some doll clothes and I finally finished weaving in the ends on all of my cat beds to donate.
