mid-week uncluttering

Have you found anything to declutter today? What about Monday and Tuesday?

I've managed to put one shirt in the op-shop box, after I put it on and realised I hate the way it feels. I wasn't sure why I hadn't been wearing it, but now I know!

I've also earmarked three jumpers to go. One has given me a lot of rash on my forearms the last few times I've worn it, and I'm wearing it in preference to two others. So today, I took advantage of a sale, bought two that fit like the irritating one, and once I've washed those three, out they go.

In a carrier bag by the front door I had collected two insulated lunch bags, a handbag, and a yoga course, all of which have lain unused for years and are in good condition. Today I realised I would be passing the charity shop during its opening hours, picked up the bag on my way out, and managed to drop it off.

I've identified a couple more things that can go, but I couldn't fit them on my bike, so they'll have to wait until I can walk them round on Saturday morning.

I am also dipping my toe in the local Freecycle group. So far the person who responded really quickly to claim some frying pans has been very slow to actually collect them *sigh*.

One shirt to the donation bin and I repurposed a name tag lanyard.

One lunchbox out, having been replaced by a newer, more convenient model. That's a neutral, but as the old lunchbox had to have a cool-off period while we figured out if we were going to need it for anything else, I'll claim it as a win.

I've lost count of how many records I've put in the trade-in bag, plus there were 6 so far that skip, so I set those aside to maybe make record bowls with.

I also went through some stuff in my basement. I still have a lot of my late Mom's stuff stored there and I'm trying to get rid of it all. I would like to have another yard sale sometime before it gets cold, but the holiday decorations didn't sell at all in my previous sale, so I'm donating those. I've already donated her massive collection of Christmas decorations. I wanted to donate the Valentine's Day and Easter stuff this year, but my family spent the whole month of February sick and then recovering in March, so I never got to box it up and donate it, so that's for next year. But she also had tons of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and general Autumn decorations too, so I just got those all together and hope to donate them to the thrift store around the corner next week.
