Weekend uncluttering

What, if anything have you picked to unclutter today?

I spent time in the front hall, working out what is going to specific people, and what isn't. A few things have been moved to the 'must post' pile, things going to (or back to) local friends have been grouped by person, and a lot of the rest of the stuff has gone in a box to go to the op-shop. Including a few things I was hoping to do something more sensible with. Which means Wednesday, I'm of to the op-shop again, but this time I'll have to resist the call of the bookshelves.

A lot!

I sent five screen/lens cleaning clothes to various friends (and I still have several left in my possession!).

I cleaned up the storage bins, which resulted in a few things into the trash.

I listed a thing for sell, offered a thing on fb that has been claimed, and offered another thing on fb.

We hung pictures this weekend! So they aren't gathering dust and dog hair!

I cleaned out my closet and dresser a bit. Not as much as I wanted, but I still like and have occasion to wear many things left. I need to get tougher, since I just bought some more shirts!

Does anyone else have a plethora of wire hangers in their house? Just me? I took 20 or so to a dry cleaner! The lady told me they recycle them, which I hope means reuse, but either way, the hangers are gone!

I mended a skirt before I HAD a mending pile. No sense in waiting for a large pile.

Whew! And the day is still young here...

If I get as far as the art supply pile, I'm going to try to cull duplicates from that.

I just posted three craft books on book swapping sites. I weeded them out on Friday because I have a craft book on its way to me and didn't have any room for it in the storage ottomans I use for craft book storage.

One book is already spoken for. The others are Better Homes and Gardens Rug Making (1978: hooked, crocheted, knitted, woven, and braided rugs), American School of Needlework Presents the Great Christmas Crochet Book (1982), and Better Homes and Gardens Gifts to Make Yourself (1972). I also have a heat damaged copy of the Big-Ass Book of Crafts 2 (it was sitting on a radiator and the back cover is de-laminating, plus the pages got wavy).

Decluttered a bookshelf right in my line of sight, which has been driving me nuts. There were 15-year-old preschool phone lists, recycled it all!
