Weekend uncluttering

How did the uncluttering go this weekend?

I took a box of donations to the op-shop -- some of this was stuff I haven't mentioned here, but I'm not sure what! I've also started weeding my work shirts. One to the op-shop pile, one to the rag bag (most of it is fine, but the fabric where my backpack sits has perished). Not much, but progress

Eleven single-serves of pumpkin spice rum vanished in the direction of the dance I was planning to attend this afternoon. (I wasn't up to dancing, so I didn't go, but I asked my ride to stop at my apartment anyway and take the rum with them.)

I do not know why I had eleven single-serves of pumpkin spice rum in the first place.

A few work-type shirts went into the Goodwill bag.

I need to weed the rest of my wardrobe like you wouldn't believe. For once in my life it's (nearly) all clean and the clean parts away—but my clothes don't all fit in the dresser!

I also need to make all those white plastic grocery bags into plarn and then hand it over to the one lady from the local UUs. Because my crocheting-things-with-plarn projects are prooooobably not happening, and it'd be more of a happy for the lady who does crochet with plarn if I gave her balls of plarn, not, y'know, many hundred plastic grocery bags!

I sympathise on the weeding clothing. I'm trying to pick one thing every day. I'm not quite managing it, but I have found four things in a week.

I worked on decluttering the pantry this weekend, to some observable effect, yay. I impulse buy too many condiments, it needs to stop.

Ooh, observable effects after decluttering, very exciting! I sympathise on the condiments. I also need to finish some of the Interesting Things I've bought in moments of weakness.

I realized there's a comic book convention in a few weeks and my bookroom is still a disaster, so in I dove. I think I've gotten all my school stuff in one spot, though it'll need proper sorting at a later time (technical degree-- there's so much useful info and I do go back and reference it), and sorted a few books to either donate or be sold on eBay. Also wrote out descriptions and took a box of stuff over for the newly-retired 'rents to eBay. (I know I've sold three things so far, for a grand total of about $40, and that's money I can put towards some needed renovations/repairs!)

Congratulations on finding things to eBay, and getting that progressed.

I sympathise on the useful school stuff -- so often I use bits of the degree I've (nearly) finished. Even in current job, which is only tangentially associated with degree topic.

And I have more waiting, but I don't want to overload the 'rents, either, til more sells. But I definitely will be able to give them a lot to sell as I sort through things.

Once I can spend some time organizing and combining binders, it won't be quite as horrible, but right now 'all in one mound on one shelf' is darned good enough!

I cleaned up a laundry basket that used to hold things without a home. It had several stained things, when I've put in a Planet Aid box for textile recycling. It also had a thing that ended up in the handmedowns box. Now the laundry basket can wait for dirty clothes again.

I mended the single shirt waiting for mending. No need to wait for a pile!
