(no subject)

In: a Jeep load of things like toilet paper, paper towels, and food. The only non essential was a pair of walking sneakers for half price that I bought for myself.

Out: a huge black contractor trash bag full of things like 2 strings of broken xmas tree lights and other junk like that which was simply not worth donating to Goodwill. Also dropped off the recycling since both bins were full. We can recycle most anything here (except styrofoam) through the county trash program. I say "dropped off" because I have to haul it myself now.. the house we moved out of last November had curbside pickup for recyclables, but the apartment complex we're in now does not. :p Florida doesn't tax containers like some states do, so there's no money back either. That's OK though. I try to donate & recycle as much as possible anyhow.

ETA: plus the biggest thing to get recycled this week was my dead washing machine that had been in the middle of the living room since last November. It would have been too much $$ to fix, sigh. So it went to a metal scrapper who came and hauled it off. Nice to have it finally gone.

Sounds very accomplished. Well done.

Congratulations on the washing machine gone, definitely a big achievement. Electrical things like that are always my downfall for getting rid of.
