We currently have beautifully clear winter weather (no rain for 4 days), I have *no study* to do, and I did not have to leave the house for any time sensitive purpose today. Which leaves me both energy and time, so instead of procrastinating, I have been targetting areas for decluttering. To whit:

• front verandah, where storage containers go to hang out - three cardboard boxes, about 6 seedling trays, assorted unidentifiable small plastic bits - recycled
• back verandah - chest of sporting equipment combed through - three perished balls to the bin (technically recycling because of the way our bins work), the rest in a box, awaiting collection from a freecycler (two sets of swim fins, assorted small balls, a tee-ball play set, a small child's plastic cricket set, small football (AFL), something I'm forgetting)
• *and* I persuaded myself to select not one (which was the plan) but six cookbooks to let go of, and only one of these was vetoed by another family member!
