Slow progress with the set back of too much coming in
So my last post here was on the 4th September, so it's been a month and while what I'm about to list below doesn't represent my full progress, it does reflect the definite progress.
Outs
1 broken rake
1 broken printer
2 boxes, 1 bin and 1 bag of recycling
1 bag of papers being shredded
7 bottles of toiletry items
1 old hairdryer
1 old iron
1 old router
2 books and some posters to nephew
2 boxes of bath melt
1 nightshirt
1 pillowcase
2 books and 5 DVDs to Dad
1 vest top
7 videos
1 face cloth
Total outs = 40
Ins
1 crochet hook
1 strip of elastic (to be used in finishing a crochet pattern so I’m not sure if it counts or not)
5 books
1 sweat top
1 pair of sweatpants
2 DVDs
1 Audiobook
3 children’s colouring/painting books
5 plastic tubs (airtight/with lids/stack inside each other)
1 t-shirt
3 new hair accessories
1 top and 1 skirt (gifts)
1 lovely book about making handmade gifts
Total ins = 27
Re-purposed (found in the back of a cupboard or similar and put to some use other than just being clutter)
1 pair of exfoliating mitts
1 soap dish
1 table runner
1 set of scented drawer liners (swapped out with existing ones which are no longer scented)
Converted
1 ball of wool into a headband (might be enough to make a second from the remains) – also used some of the bought elastic.
1 old sheet chopped up into rags for waxing furniture
Grand Total = 160 (previous total out) + 40 (out) - 27 (in) = 173 out
I have also cleared the kitchen cupboards of all out of date food, although that doesn't effect the totals. I've also been 'cleaning' as I go, trying to turn some of the rooms into 'finished' environments. I have several bags of stuff ready to go to charity shops, but I haven't included the things inside in the totals as they haven't actually gone yet, despite my having put two of the bags into the trunk of the car. I have a pile of books and DVDs identified for reading/watching before being put into the 'to go' pile.
