Anybody up for March Madness - Decluttering Style?
It's been a while since I did any major decluttering and thought it might be fun and motivating to make a game of it instead of a chore.
So, let's play a decluttering game for March Madness. On March 1st (yes, sorry I'm a day late) declutter one item. It could be anything - a piece of paper or a sofa! On March 2nd, declutter two items. And so on each day, until by March 31st, you are decluttering 31 items that day. If you follow that simple rule every day, by the end of March you will have decluttered 496 items! Isn't that an amazing number?
Nothing says you have to do the entire month, of course. I'm not sure I will manage that myself. But every item gone is a win, in my book.
Yesterday I decluttered an old worn out swim suit. Who knows what it will be today, once I take a look around.
What do you say? Wanna go mad with me this month?

Oh goodness, does this mean I have to actually move the bits of dead blind to the actual bin? (I finally decided I was willing to let go of them earlier today, and there's two bits...)
It might mean I actually get around to auditing the towels and tea towels. Hmm.
Okay, so what did I do yesterday. Um. (Today also involved taking a large quantity of cardboard to the allotment and distributing it usefully...) Oh, I suppose Doing Some Shredding of paperwork as needed shredding will do retroactively; some of it's out of the house and the rest is prepped for storage and getting through (as compost) over the next little bit...

Hey, shredding and taking the cardboard out are definite wins. (I did shredding today myself, but I don't have a garden so it just goes to trash not compost).
