Mid-week uncluttering

Any uncluttering to celebrate today?

I had an unexpected bit of decluttering, when that evil social media site I love to hate deigned to pass on a message from Friday. Not only did I get rid of the box of dead towels, but also two big bags I had no idea what to do with (think feed bags, but bigger).

Not today, but I got rid of the last batch of babyproofing items! My baby rose the challenge... sigh. But that drawer is easier to close now.

I talked to one of the kids to see why certain shirts weren't being worn--and it's an easy solution that takes all of five minutes, so now those shirts are being used, rather than taking up space in the closet.

Otherwise, it's more things coming in lately, but all of those things have specific uses. I am trying to be more picky when out in the world, buying things that have an immediate use, rather than "well, someday I could use this and it's a good price now." A good price now to store and trip over in my house? PASS.

I put a small item of furniture to use, and identified a need for a way to organize something (fitness supplies, which aren't a thing I thought I was ever going to have a bunch of.)

I did some outdoor decluttering, potting up several plants and disposing of old, too-small nursery pots.

Sorted and washed (where necessary) a bunch of recycling - cardboard (which didn't get washed), plastic and some glass containers - it's all now stored in the collection tubs. I also went through a bunch of paperwork and have bagged a whole set to be shredded or burned once I get a chance. I also gave away another book that I'd finished. Not too bad for a Wednesday.
