Mid-week uncluttering

How goes the uncluttering today?

Having had several things I offered on the Buy Nothing group picked up, I've moved some of my 'think about later' stash of items to the front hall for the rest of the family to look through. Have nearly uncovered a couch!

Coworker came and carried off my old sofa! (and plans to get the ones from the 'rents on Friday)

Did a ton of dishes, vacuumed, and have a couple boxes of recycling to go out, along with a glass candy jar of bangle bracelets and whatnot that I haven't worn in at least a decade. Not quiiiite sure where to donate them, but I'll figure somewhere out.

I got back from a long (6+ weeks) trip last Friday and have been focusing on getting everything back in order and getting back into my usual routine. Some physical, some digital and some mental.

Not quite there yet, but I've been making good progress. The suitcase and travel accessories are all stowed away, at least, and my to-do list for things to do around the house and (especially) the garden is getting shorter!

I planted the plants that somehow gathered around--I'm not a good gardener so I'm not sure why people give me plants. Anyhow, they are in the ground where I will no longer have to work around them.

Donated 19 books to a kid's school, dropped another 5 at the library for their book sale. I purchased something like 7 books for the house and another 3 will come home next week--still less than 24 and they will all be new to us books!

Added a shirt to the handmedown box, added four things to the donation pile.

I finished decluttering my file folders today and have just started reorganising the remaining files. I am very pleased with myself. :D

Nice going! Would the local school like the bangle bracelets as a contribution for some kind of fundraising? Or do you know a primary school teacher who could use them as gifts/rewards/etc? I tend to give all of those small things to one friend who keeps a lucky dip for her students.

Sympathies on the plants. I'm an indifferent gardener at best, and I also have a friend that thinks that plants are a great birthday present. If the daffodils don't come up this year, I will have killed all of them.

The swapping of old books for new is exciting. I hope all enjoy the new ones.

Oh, that's a good idea. I'll have to ask around. (If not, might just take them into work next time I take a bunch of plants to give away, which needs to be soon so I can get some table space back.)
