Friday Report

I've been doing taxes this week; not a lot else got done. I did take 15 paperbacks to B2P, but I had pulled them from one of my back shelves earlier, so it is not really more books gone.

I started picking over my desk, where paper, various e-readers, Waaay too many writing implements, and other bits of stuff are heaped. The paperwork will take a long time to sort through, but I am doing bits here and there. I did manage to clear my kitchen table every day - I am pleased at that.

I hauled bags and boxes of books home from B2P, but they are for prison libraries, not my collection. Someone brought in around 15 boxes of YA fantasy and science fiction. A lot was in hardcover, and heavy to mail to our B2P readers, so I picked out those hardcovers that seemed suitable for adult readers and brought them home. I have 4 boxes filled with these books, and some of them are series books and I have all or most of the series. They will join the others in my garage to wait for the librarian pick-up day, in June I hope.

Thanks. I thought it went along with all the writing materials on my desk - there are colored pencils among them

Due to a flooded basement, I threw away some vacuum bags, a Carnival Cruise daiquiri plastic glass, a rusted carpenter square, and a plastic tablecloth. I also brought up some fireplace matches and a sweater I'll donate.

A basement flooding is a motivator, if not exactly one we would like to see. I hope the fireplace matches were not damaged in the flood. On we all go.

Well done on clearing the kitchen table every day and good luck on tackling the desk! I'm sure if you keep picking at it, you'll soon start noticing a difference. :-)

Thanks for your encouragement every time I post - we all need it to keep going on the never-ending tasks. The kitchen table is more encouragement; if I can do that surly I can eventually manage all the desk paperwork.
