Weekend Uncluttering

What have you found to reuse or recycle today?

The theme of our decluttering has been socks. Partner finally went through their overflowing sock drawer, and binned the dodgy ones that keep inspiring them to buy new socks. I got the kids to go through the bucket of unmatched socks -- several pairs were identified, and most of the rest were binned. I'm also eyeing off my sock drawer, because I bet there are some dodgy ones in there as well.

Plus, we've added a few other items to the current op-shop box. Two food processor grating blades for a food processor we no longer have; a kids crafting tool for making loose sort of knitted sort of flowers, and several heavy duty plastic shopping bags that I'm hoping the op-shop can use just as shopping bags. And partner cleaned up their side of the bed, and near filled a wastepaper bin with bits of paper!

The pile of stuff I'm putting together to go to the tip is growing more quickly and easily than I expected, so hooray! I still have to actually take it there, but it feels like it will be a lot easier to handle getting it into and out of the car now, which will make the actual trip less awful.

I also took some dodgy underwear out of circulation -- I guess I started using a lot at the same time, so it's all failing at the same time?

And I turned the contents of some packets and tins in my store of non-perishable food into actual meals in the freezer, so I can eat healthily with minimal effort for the next few weeks. (I bulk buy when things I use a lot of are on offer, or when I have money off vouchers for the grocery store. Also, I'll admit it, right now I'm starting to create my own small pre-Brexit food stockpile....)
