Mondays
Hey folks
My children went back to school this week and I again have Mondays clear to do things.
I was thinking that I would try and do one uncluttering task every week and set an intention for next Monday at the same time
Anyone else in? Obviously you could do a different day
Today I uncluttered our swimming things box and took a bag of outgrown swimming costumes and flotation aids to the charity shop.
Next week I am going to tackle the kids summer clothing

I love this!
I don't have a regular clear day I could do things, but what might work for me (if you don't mind) is to treat your Monday post as a prompt to find a time in the week where I can do some decluttering, and set an intention for it.
Tomorrow is my last day off work. I will spend an hour in the morning doing the Dana K White decluttering steps around my house. Priority order of rooms: mine, living room, study, N's room, C's room. (DKW method: take out all the rubbish/recycling, take out stuff that should be donated, take things back to where they should live)

I resisted the intention setting thing for a while but I have found it works for me

I did an hour and tackled my room and N's (because study and living room were occupied). I pulled out probably 3 bagfuls of rubbish/recycling, and returned a bunch of things to where they belong, and filled a bag of stuff to probably-giveaway (need to double check with N when he's back from school). The Pile of Misc Stuff that has been living on/near my bed for the last six months is down to a small pile of things that need some actual effort from me, but is somewhere more sensible than my bed, and a bedside notebook. N's room needs more work but is an improvement on what it was.
The last 15 minutes I didn't want to do any more work in N's room, so I sat down and mended two pairs of socks, so they could stop being a sad mending pile on my bed and are back to being socks in my sock drawer. I also took the note of the floss picks the dentist recommended and actually looked them up and ordered some, so now I can throw that note away now.
