Oooh, this is a good one. I have a number of things that are sorted, but haven't yet left the house, I should figure out next steps towards that goal. I am feeling slow and migrainey today so whether I actually do any of the tasks is unclear - figuring them out is a useful step though.

  • large parcel bag of children's clothes to go to my SIL, plus the beginnings of a new pile, complicated by them being in the middle of house building work
    • decision: wait until the building works are done, another month or two won't hurt (the gap between the kids is big enough everything can wait at least a year)
    • task: do a systematic pass through younger child's clothes to cull the outgrown clothes (he is growing again) and divide into charity donations / new parcel bag for SIL
    • task: do another pass through stored clothes younger child is growing into, and restock his clothing / make a shopping list for what we don't have
  • suit bags and hangers from the set of smart clothes my brother passed on to my son
    • checked text message thread: he wants the bags and one specific hanger back
    • task: bag up the other hangers for the charity shop
    • task: text brother to say bags, hanger are ready for collection, when does he want to visit
  • multiple bags for the charity shop, resulting from sortings out over the past few months, lurking in the back room
    • task: put a gift aid label on each bag
    • task: stick all the bags in the cargo bike and go round to the shop, worst case scenario I have to bring them all back again because the "we're full" sign is out, but best case I get rid of them all at once
