Looks like Saturdays are turning into a good opportunity for decluttering. In a bid to sort things out, we've moved a stack of stuff to the garage, with the goal of a) sorting the st out/decluttering, and then b) moving it back in/finding actual homes (not boxes) or decluttering it.

This morning:
Spare sock box - cleared out 30+ unmatched socks - rubbish.
Shoe shelf - 3(!) unmatched shoes, three unclaimed posters, one pair dead boots, one awful near destroyed hat to the rubbish; one pair children's good shoes, 1 half empty car oil bottle, 2 children's song books - rehome pile. Two posters moved to [community group] archive which currently resides with us.

Earlier this week - cleared magazines off bedside table. Craft and new scientist - rehome pile, most of the rest in the bin.

[new plan with rehome pile is I will attempt to clear it out Friday mornings before kids go to school so that I can take appropriate items to the op-shop when running other errands].
